How did you hear about Upper Cervical Specific Chiropractic?
Tammy (receptionist from Dr Anderson's office) came over to Christian Point (our print shop across the street) to get some printing done for the clinic. She told us all about the benefits of having our heads on straight.
Describe your health before Upper Cervical Specific Chiropractic care and how your health problems interfered with your life.
Had headaches often, used an inhaler for asthma everyday for over 30 years, used Singulair medication that was to help with the constant asthma problems but it weakened my teeth causing many of them breaking off at the gum line and a fall caused three bones to break in my left ankle. I was in a cast for several months-bones did not heal well. Also had a yeast infection on the bottom of my left foot for over 10 years.
How has your health improved since starting Upper Cervical Specific Chiropractic care?
First thing I noticed was no headaches at all and the yeast infection cleared up. I was able to cut down on the inhaler to every other day and stop the Singulair completely.
When I fell & broke my ankle I was in a lot of pain (9/10) when Dr. Anderson adjusted my neck and immediately the pain decreased to 5/10.
The biggest improvement was last January, 2011 when I caught bronchitis from my husband and on top of the asthma, I could not breathe. I sat up all night trying to catch my breath and the more I took the inhaler, the worse I got. I could not imagine lying down after an adjustment so I foolishly went to the ER. They gave me more inhalers and used the nebulizer with Albuterol three more times – one time for more than an hour. They put me in the hospital for 8 days-gave me oxygen, Prednisone to dilate my bronchial tubes which caused high blood pressure & high blood sugar. Of course that meant medication for both along with something to stop the mucus and a blood thinner.
I was still so short of breath I was on constant oxygen – up to 10 liters & went home with an oxygen generator at a constant 4 liters of oxygen 24/7. I had a lot of stomach problems from the medication & every day in the hospital I felt worse then the day before. It took all my energy to walk the 3 steps to the bathroom. The doctor wanted me to stay longer at the hospital but I knew I would not get any better until I got home.
I stopped all medication except the Prednisone & tapered that off in 3 days instead of the 6 days prescribed. I started feeling better and went to see Dr. Anderson. He adjusted me & within an hour, I noticed I could breathe much easier. In another 2 days I no longer needed the oxygen & have not used another inhaler or nebulizer since. I am getting stronger & able to walk without my walker often as well now.
Being able to breathe deeply with no wheezing is a joy every day! Thank you Dr. Pat Anderson for obeying God’s call on your life & using your healing hands for His Glory.
